I wrote this poem book during a time when Black Lives Matter became a movement that displayed an influential beacon of hope all across the world.  I felt the necessity to express my sensitivity as a Black mother, teacher, author, Aunts cousin and sister of African American Children in hope that would one day see liberty and justice for all.
